Pres Ballyphehane Recognised for High Performance on Whole School Evaluation Report 2026

Following the completion of an extensive Department of Education and Youth assessment earlier this year, Pres Ballyphehane is proud to share the results of our Whole School Evaluation: Management, Leadership and Learning 2026

Summary of Findings

  • The quality of teaching, learning and assessment was very good: widespread use of student-centred approaches ensured students participated actively in their learning.

  • Reflecting the school’s unwavering commitment to inclusion, outcomes for learners were all encompassing: diverse and individualised learning experiences enabled students to reach their potential and encouraged them to pursue their aspirations.

  • The quality of leadership and management was very good with actions, decisions and relationships all shaped by the school’s unequivocal undertaking to serve, include and advocate for its community.

  • Highly effective distributed leadership optimised the outcomes of each individual endeavour and created valuable opportunities for teachers’ professional growth.

  • A school-wide capacity for collaboration and for working in partnership had enabled provision of rich learning experiences tailored to students’ needs and interests.

  • The quality of support for students’ wellbeing was excellent: highly effective approaches to co-ordination and communication optimised integration within a completely student-centred system.

We are proud of our results, which speak volumes for the dedication and commitment of our teachers and support teams as well as the inspiring body of students we are so lucky to have in Ballyphehane that represent the spirit, ethos and values of our school and community.
